Review your results with a Longevity Coach Your 14-day glucose data report is discussed in a 1:1 coaching session. You leave with a clear, personalized metabolic protocol.

What You'll Learn

  • How your body responds to the specific foods you eat — not general guidelines, but your personal metabolic fingerprint.
  • Whether you are metabolically healthy or quietly trending toward insulin resistance, before symptoms appear.
  • Which meals, activities, and habits create glucose spikes versus sustained, steady energy throughout the day.
  • Whether your fasting routine, low-carb approach, or other dietary strategy is actually working the way you believe it is.

Who This Is For

This is for someone who wants to understand their metabolism with data, not guesses. They eat what they think is healthy but want to know if their body actually agrees. They may follow intermittent fasting, a low-carb approach, or a Mediterranean diet but have never verified the metabolic effect in real time. This is also for people who experience afternoon energy crashes, post-meal brain fog, or frustrating difficulty losing weight despite a clean diet. Whether you have always wanted to peer inside your metabolism or you have a specific question about how your body handles food and stress, this CGM is for anyone who wants to stop speculating and start optimizing with evidence.

What This Test Measures

Continuous Interstitial Glucose

Glucose readings from the fluid between your cells, captured every 15 minutes for the full 14-day wear period. This produces thousands of data points your doctor has never seen.

Glucose Spikes and Recovery Curves

How high your blood sugar rises after meals and how quickly it returns to baseline. Large, slow recoveries are an early sign of metabolic stress.

Fasting Glucose Patterns

Your overnight and morning fasting glucose trends, revealing whether your baseline metabolic health is within the optimal range.

Exercise and Stress Response

How glucose responds to physical activity, emotional stress, and disrupted sleep — factors that affect blood sugar independently of food.

Average Glucose and Time-in-Range

Your mean glucose level and the percentage of time spent within the optimal metabolic range (70-140 mg/dL), a key longevity-relevant metric.

Glycemic Variability Score

A measure of how much your glucose fluctuates across the day. High variability is linked to fatigue, inflammation, and long-term metabolic risk.

"For a busy mom, it was the perfect balance of fast and slow. My blood draw was so fast, and the 1 hour call with Josh really forced me to slow down and consider how my lifestyle choices are impacting my health."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to prick my finger with a CGM?+
No. The FreeStyle Libre 3 is a continuous glucose monitor that reads glucose from the interstitial fluid just beneath your skin, not from a blood sample. There are no finger pricks required at any point during the 14-day wear period. You simply scan the sensor with your smartphone to get an instant reading.
Will the sensor hurt or stay on during exercise and showers?+
The sensor is designed to be worn continuously through normal daily activity, including exercise, showering, and swimming. Most people report no discomfort during wear. The adhesive is medical-grade and stays securely in place on the upper arm for the full 14 days. Some people with sensitive skin use an additional over-patch for extra security during intense activity.
Do I need to fast before applying the sensor?+
No fasting is required before or during the CGM wear period. In fact, the most valuable data comes from wearing the sensor through your normal eating patterns. You should apply the sensor and then live your regular life, eating the foods you normally eat, so your 14-day profile reflects your genuine metabolic reality.
What is a healthy glucose range?+
For metabolically healthy adults, optimal fasting glucose is generally between 4.0 and 5.5 mmol/L (72-99 mg/dL). After meals, glucose should ideally remain below 7.8 mmol/L (140 mg/dL) and return to baseline within 1-2 hours. Time in range, meaning the percentage of the day your glucose stays between 3.9 and 7.8 mmol/L, should be above 90% for optimal metabolic health. Your Longevity Coach will contextualize your specific numbers during your review session.
How is this different from a diabetic glucose monitor?+
The FreeStyle Libre 3 is the same device used clinically for diabetes management, but at MyHealthspan we use it as a metabolic optimization tool for people without diabetes. We are not looking for dangerously abnormal glucose levels. We are looking for the subtle patterns, spikes, variability, and fasting trends that reveal metabolic fitness or early insulin resistance long before a standard blood glucose test would flag anything unusual. This is preventive, data-driven health optimization.
